Training course on “Capacity enhancement of legal knowledge and policies for S&T development” in Hanoi.

Implementing the approved Decree No 18/2010/NĐ-CP of the Government on the training and capacity enhancement plans in 2012, in the morning of October 30, 2012, the Management Training Institute (MTI) solemnly held an opening ceremony of a training course on “Capacity enhancement of legal knowledge and policies for S&T development” in Hanoi for staff and officials from Units and Divisions/Departments under Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). Dr Tran Cong Yen – Deputy Director of MTI attended and delivered his opening speech.

 

The training course was attended by over 50 participants, including staff and officials from 16 Units and Divisions/Departments, MOST such as Department of Organization and Personnel, Department of International Cooperation, Department of Technology Appraisal, Examination and Assessment, Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality, National Agency for Science and Technology Information, National Center for Technology Progress, Vietnam Atomic Energy Agency, Management Board of Hoa Lac High-tech Park, Vietnam Atomic Energy Commission, Certification office of Hi-tech activities and S&T Entrepreneurship, National Institute of Patent and Technology Exploitation, Registration office of Science and Technology activities, Center for Vietnam Science and Technology Internationalization Promotion and Management Training Institute.

The Management Training Institute in coordination with the Department of Legislation designed a special program for staff and officials from Units and Divisions/Departments, MOST in order to enhance basic knowledge, updated and disseminated the newly published policies, legal documents in the field of science and technology according to the approved Decree No 18/2010/NĐ-CP of the Government on the training and capacity enhancement plans. At the same time, the training course was also a good chance for all participants to share their valuable and practical experience to strengthen the ties among units/Departments, MOST.

As planned, the training course would last during 3 days, from October 30 until November 1, 2012.
